The Weekend Course is for those at the beginner to intermediate level. Like the Basic Course we will start with the basics and make sure you gain a good knowledge of pitch matching, beat mixing, music structure, phrasing and mixing board techniques.

The first day is all about the decks, we feel it's very important to have good control and to master your deckstrous techniques. If you make a mistake on the decks then the mix isn't going to sound good. If you have been mixing but are having problems with pitch matching then here we can really break your techniques down and tighten your skills.

On the second day (sun) we will work on music structure, mixing board techniques, EQs and really get you going as a DJ. Giving you a feeling for what it's really like behind the decks. As well as looking at all of the technical aspects of mixing, we feel it's important to understand what goes on in the mind.
With only 4 students on the course, you will have plenty of time on the decks and we have the chance to really make sure you understand everything.

Some student feedback on this course...

Hi Guys,

I just want to say a Big thank you to John Taylor and the subbass team for the Weekend DJ course I took this weekend just gone.

I have been 'messing' around with my decks for a few months at home and thought i have learnt as much as I could on my own from books web and videos etc, SO i desided to take the plunge and join the course.

The people I was on the course with where all great as well and not as I expected at all, we where all in the same boat and got along fine.

The course covered every thing I wanted it two and I left on a high! All that is left to do is just to keep my head up and keep practicing.

I have since been on my decks every day and have found that although I still have a mountain to climb things are starting to slot into place, I now know that when things arent going right I atleast know why and what to do about it.

I Finaly just want to give a THANKS to John to sharing his knolege he was a more than qualified teacher having played at the worlds best venues including several clubs from the deam land of Ibiza!

Thats it !
Hope ill soon be added to your list of star students
Steve
