The one month Logic Pro course taught me all I needed to produce my own tracks (programming drums, basic sound design, sampling, mixing, automation etc). Because of the small class size (only two other students!) it was pretty much like having a private tutor, meaning we all progressed very quickly. Graeme, the instructor, was very friendly, helpful and encouraging, and taught me several things I just wouldn't have learned from a book or video tutorial. Highly recommended, thank you Sub Bass.Read all our reviews on Google Reviews here
Thanks to the team at Subbass DJ Academy, I've just returned from an awesome week on the beautiful, white isle of Ibiza. Playing alongside successful Subbass DJ's: MaxQuerade, Mac White, Alice Says, Darren Seivewright, Jack Green and Norman Ramirez.Read all our reviews on Google Reviews here

After completing both the 3-month DJ Complete & 3-month Logic Production Courses, I recently decided to tweak my vinyl skills and booked a weekend course with the Big Dog, John Taylor. (Check out his page Punx Soundcheck) I've been going back to Subbass for nearly a year, making some great friends and contacts in the industry. The guys there have been amazing throughout all their courses, providing sound advice, promoting our demos, and not forgetting booking sets at the world-famous Ministry of Sound.
I've been to other DJ and Music Production 'schools' (which I'm not going to name) and none of them have been close to the success rate of Subbass. They offer a variety of courses to suit basic, intermediate and advanced skill levels, playing all genres of music. So if you're dreaming of leaving the 9-to-5 Rat Race behind and ready to put in the work. Industry heavyweights Graeme Lloyd, John Taylor, Ceri and the rest of the guys at Subbass DJ Academy will teach you the tools to succeed. Don't believe me? Try it and prove me wrong. Thanks for everything guys. Adam Aldous
I recently went through the Subbass 'making house music' and 'how to make electro and big beats' online courses and thought they were both fantastic. I have been studying music production when time permits over the last couple of years and having done several different online courses during that time overall i'd say these courses are amongst the very best resources i've ever found.Read all our reviews on Google Reviews here
In comparison to other online courses out there I felt the material was all very well explained and broken down so I could actually understand for the most part exactly why x was being done and how to later use such ideas/techniques for my own purposes rather than just watching someone mimicking a track without really telling you why it is done this way or what to take from it as can be the case with other lesser competitors. Also as well as the general quality of the material, I was very pleased with the price and value for money, as when you look at what you get/learn on one of these courses for under £50 compared to something like point blank online who are charging over 7 times as much for a similar (and it could be argued especially in terms of downloadable notes and well known instructors not even as good an experience). In my opinion the Subbass online courses are clearly the number 1 choice for content and value for money, I know I will certainly be back to do more courses when they are available!
There were certainly many moments for me on the course where things that i'd previously found a bit confusing just 'clicked' and made sense to me finally. I therefore feel these courses have helped take my production knowledge and skills to the next level and i'm really grateful to Subbass for making them and would urge anyone with even a vague interest in bettering their production skills to sign up for one today
When I first heard about the Ableton Live evening course\Music Production course at SubBass I knew they have got everything I needed to get exactly where I wanted to be and a wide spectrum of knowledge and expertise thought in the most innovative way. Also very comforting that my instructor BLIND MINDED and basically all the tutors are in the Industry and amongst today's best underground DJ's, Producers and Sound Engineers who had released on some of my favourite labels…. The course and its accompanying notes were extremely thorough and helped me to consolidate and give clarity and confidence to the topics and techniques I had encountered before. In my opinion only having 4 people on a course is the way to get the most out of the student and I've got to say SubBass Academy is THE workshop where creativity is before anything else...... We were extremely free, inspired to work on our own sound and we felt at ease! The whole vibe of the place made sense and really the standard has been set on a very high level at SubBass…….It put everything in the right place! After being a warm up DJ for Ministry of Sound for a year and playing artists songs on the radio day in day out, I wanted to start to produce something myself. I remember when I opened Logic for the first time and thought "Oh god, what do I do", and this is where Subbass came in. I signed up to the one month production course and I am so glad I did.Read all our reviews on Google Reviews here
Graeme is such a great teacher, as its only 4 pupils in the class you get near 1 on 1 tuition starting from the basic's of opening the program for the first time and progressing through to the more advanced features.
Being on the course has also made me hear music differently. Now when I listen to my favorite artists you begin in your mind to dismantle the track and hear what it's made up of rather then just hearing the whole thing.
I would highly recommend this course to anyone who wants to start producing their own tracks as I promise you will walk out after finishing the course and think "Wow, how the hell did I learn so much in that amount of time"
If you have any questions just call them up or email, they are all so friendly and will go out of their way to help you out.
Would just like to say thank you again to Graeme and the team, had a great time with you and I hope to send you a finished track soon!
