Ricky Bruni
Ricky Bruni was born in Italy just over 30 years ago to a music family, getting interested in music at a young age with numerous instruments and sounds at his disposal. By the time he was 15 he was working at a Local Italian radio station ‘Radio Punto’, and it was there we first experienced the pleasure of dance music and vinyl records.

"I can still fell the emotions of putting the needle on that first record. What a great feeling!" he says - and he was hooked.

His progress was swift and he was soon hosting his own dance chart radio show. Before long he joined Veronica Hit Radio Network (one of the biggest in central Italy) DJ team, filling dance floors at clubs all over Italy like Baia Imperiale - one of the most popular clubs on the Adriatic Riviera, Colosseo, Onirika, Byblos, Prince, and Echoes to name but a few.

His next stop was London, whre he joined the Subbass DJ Academy to take part in a course, which allowed him to begin a whole new chapter in his DJ career, production. His tracks have had a great response from other DJ's and producers worldwide, being released on labels including Sheeva Records, Zemi Records, Border Records, Purple Edge Records, D- Lab Records, Dub Records and more. Ricky takes inspiration from Booka Shade, Dubfire, Umek, Portman, Wally Lopez, Paul Thomas, Graeme Lloyd, Gavyn Mytchel, Peo de Pitte and Sonny Wharton to name few, in addition to his early classical training, and an innate need to make people move.

In 2009, Ricky made his main room debut for The Gallery at Ministry of Sound (London) after being spotted playing for Subbass in smaller rooms such as The Loft where they still host monthly parties now. His sound is melodic, hypnotic, multifaceted, and continues to evolve - both in the studio and on the decks, so watch this space for even more exiting things to come.
